Meet the Team
Peter Thornton (left) : Mechanical Specialist, Company founder, established P&K Thornton Motor Engineers together with brother Keith in 1967. Semi-retired, advisory role on all mechanical aspects of repairs and restoration, specialist engine building and tuning, body and underbody. Over the 5 decades of existence, P&K Thornton serviced the entire Jaguar range, alongside motorcars of Rover, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin and Austin Healey. Half way through the 80s, the fame as a Jaguar restorer and service point grew locally and internationally, with archives indicating hundreds of Jaguars restored from E-Type, XK120, XK140, XK150, MK I / II, S-Type, MK V – X.
Keith Thornton (right) : Electrical & Trim Specialist, Company co-founder together with brother Peter. Specialist in trim and electrical. Semi-retired, advisory role on all electrical fault finding and partial or complete rewiring. Body fittings specialist, chrome and metalwork.
Ciprian ‘Chip’ Nistorica : MD, Technician, Race & Test Driver. Specialist in logistics and project management classic car maintenance and restoration. Chip came onboard in 2018 with a wealth of automotive experience and novel ideas to match the company’s ambitions. Being truly passionate about classic cars, Ciprian enjoys working on the cars together with making sure every customer is satisfied with the work carried out. Chip is a keen race driver, his experience helps us tune in and make the required fine adjustments.
Steve Curl : Engineering Manager. Performance engine specialist. Over 20 years experience building bespoke classic road and race engines.
Andrew Pusey : Restoration Technician. Vastly experienced restoring and maintaining classic cars over a 40 years career in the automotive industry.
