Rowe Motor Oil

At P&K Thornton Restorations, we only want to deal with the best; and this is why we have partnered with Rowe Motor Oil, a high-quality oil manufacturer in Germany. Rowe offers a specialised range of oils and other vehicle care products tailored for classic cars, ensuring optimal performance and protection for vintage vehicles. Rowe has a strong commitment to sustainability. They operate some of the most modern factories in the industry and strive to reduce their impact on the environment and people as much as possible.

Automotive oils that meet today’s vehicle specifications contain the very latest base oil and additive technologies. However, due to changes in fuel and engine design over the years, these products are not always suitable for classic vehicles. Rowe offers a full range of products suitable for older vehicles, taking today’s technology and formulating it to protect and enhance yesterday’s cars.

Rowe is a family-managed business that values sustainability, with certified sustainable production processes and providing top-quality products. They have goals set in place to try and become even more sustainable through preventing waste and reducing CO2 emissions. Additionally, they try to strengthen sustainability throughout their supply chain, along with making their premises sustainable. Their product lineup features engine oils, brake fluids, additives, and greases, along with a variety of vehicle care products.

Oils, additives and greases are used by our technicians during the full cycle of a classic vehicle restoration; this includes during assembly and build, for the running-in of re-conditioned parts and engines, and ongoing vehicle servicing and maintenance. Rowe’s Hightec Racing Classic SAE 20W-50 is a high-quality oil which combines zinc additive composition race-proven multi-ester technology to help prevent deposits, oxidization, wear and leaks as well as material incompatibility. This product is designed to protect classic car race engines by preventing any sticking, varnish and coking of cylinders, pistons and valves. This oil also has a low evaporation loss and low oil consumption.

Brake fluids also play a key role in driver experience and vehicle feedback. Rowe’s Hightec Dot 4 (Brake Fluid) is a fully synthetic brake fluid formulated with glycols, along with oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, designed for hydraulic brake and clutch systems in line with manufacturer specifications. It is compatible and mixable with other synthetic brake fluids.

Additionally, we would also recommend a range of Rowe’s additives to use in your classic car. Depending on your vehicle type, Rowe’s Hightec Engine Cleaner is an oil system cleaner suitable for petrol, diesel, and gas (LPG/CNG) engines. It effectively cleans the entire oil circulation system by dissolving residues, deposits, and sludge buildup. Works within approximately 400–1,000 km. In addition, their Hightec Octane Booster is a high-quality fuel additive designed to increase the octane number. Ideal for high-performance engines and in the event of poor fuel quality. Safe for use in vehicles with catalytic converters. Also, their Hightec Radiator Cleaner is a powerful coolant system cleaner for all water-cooled engines. Effectively dissolves and removes limescale and sludge deposits, ensuring thorough cleaning of the entire coolant circuit. Works in approximately 30 minutes.

Rowe’s range of Hightec greases offers advanced lubrication solutions designed to meet the demands of high-performance and heavy-duty applications. Whether for racing, high-pressure environments, or extreme temperatures, these greases provide exceptional protection and performance for your machinery. Rowe’s Hightec Racing Grease Guard RLF 2 is a wheel bearing grease specifically developed for heavily loaded wheel bearings in race track applications. It provides outstanding temperature and pressure stability, along with excellent flow properties, ensuring superior lubrication even under extreme loads. Colour: Light brown. Additionally, another grease we recommend is their Hightec Grease Guard CX EP 2 which is a high-quality, mineral oil-based, aging-resistant universal lubricating grease made with calcium-complex soap. It offers excellent corrosion protection and includes high-pressure additives that reduce abrasion. NLGI 2. Ideal for use on rolling and plain bearings at temperature- and pressure-stressed lubrication points. Temperature application range from 30 up to 140 degrees Celsius. Colour: brown.
