1959 Austin Healey 100/6 BN6
Having been recently returned from the US where it has spent all it’s life, we took on the task the recommission the British roadster and return it to it’s original glory. You are maybe wondering why is the Austin Healey in for restoration with a Jaguar & Daimler specialist ? During our over 5 decades of existence as a company, we have returned to the roads hundreds of Jaguars, but also other British marques like Austin Healey, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin and even the odd Italian, Alfa Romeo of the 60s-70s era.
First step was to inspect the sports cars thoroughly and generate a detailed report with photographs of the suggested elements for restoration, answering the 3 questions, why? how? and how much? With all questions answered we received ‘green light’ to proceed. Our first mission before stripping all components away was to find out if the engine turns and attempt to get it running and driving just so we know what we are starting with. To all of us surprise, not only that the engine was turning but we managed to get it driving around the farm within half a day. Great start!
We later proceeded with stripping all components from body and chassis, labeling and marking all items and put together a real restoration plan with light at the end of the tunnel in 2021.
